Today, September 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Gujarat to participate in the 'Samudra se Samriddhi' event. During this visit, he will initiate several development projects totaling over ₹34,200 crore in Bhavnagar.
Following this, the Prime Minister plans to conduct an aerial survey of Dholera. He is also scheduled to hold a review meeting and visit the National Maritime Heritage Complex in Lothal around 1:30 PM. Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate significant projects worth more than ₹7,870 crore aimed at enhancing the maritime sector.
Among the key inaugurations is the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Indira Dock. He will also lay the groundwork for a new container terminal and related facilities at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata, as well as a new container berth and cargo handling facilities at Paradip Port, along with the Tuna Tekra Multi-Cargo Terminal.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will establish foundations for firefighting infrastructure and improved road connectivity at Kamarajar Port in Ennore, in addition to coastal protection initiatives, including seawalls and revetments at Chennai Port.
